On Monday, Bangladesh government with the approval of the World Trade Organization decided to go with the existing restriction on open import of eggs, chicks of poultry birds, edible salt and packaging cartons till 2009. Commerce Secretary Mohammad Aminur Rahman said that this will help the local industries to be competitive.
