BDR and BSF Thursday massed troops and artilleries on respective side following Wednesday’s border fight over India’s repeated bid to wall off the no man’s land with barbed-wire fences at the Panchakumar frontier, heightening tension among the locals. But there seemed to be no letup in India’s move towards border fencing, as they again made a bid to erect barbed-wire fences in Sabrum Kathalchhari area, opposite Panchakathari Para.
A two and half an hour long Battalion Commander level flag meeting between Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and Border Security Force (BSF) of India held today on the zero line at Singhimari border in Lalmonirhat officially agreed to maintain ceasefire along the borders.
