The No-Confidence Human Wall program of the Awami League–led opposition political
parties on Sunday passed off peacefully in the capital and in all other district headquarters across the country.
The opposition parties formed the human wall (chain), the fourth of its kind in five months, as part of their agitations to “force” the Government to step down and concede to their demands, including an early election.
Different social, cultural and professional bodies joined the “human wall” programme expressing solidarity with the opposition demands. The opposition is scheduled to set up similar walls on March 24 in all upazila headquarters and would enforce a countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal on March 27, as part of their action package.
