China, Pakistan Leaders Meet, Sign Friendship Treaty


Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf have signed a friendship treaty and vowed to fight terrorism and extremism.

During their meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday, Pakistani media reported that Mr. Wen also called on Pakistani to peacefully resolve its disputes with India.

Earlier, the Chinese prime minister said his country will never be a threat to other countries or attempt to dominate them.

During Mr. Wen's visit, China and Pakistan have signed more than 20 trade and economic agreements and a pact to fight terrorism.

Mr. Wen is heading a delegation of about 70 Chinese business leaders and officials. He is scheduled to travel to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India later this week.
