One woman has died and nearly 50 people are missing after a passenger boat sank after colliding with a ferry on a Bangladesh river.
The wooden boat carrying some 80 passengers went down after it collided with with a ferry on the Arial Kha River, near Madaripur town, 230 kilometres south of Dhaka.
Witnesses say about 30 people had either been rescued or swam to safety.
A search for the missing passengers and efforts to salvage the sunken boat are continuing.
