The directors general of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) will begin a four-day meeting in Dhaka on Wednesday. They will discuss topics including peaceful solution of border problems and some other long-standing disputes.
An 18-member delegation led by Director General of BSF RS Mooshahary arrived in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Director General of BDR Major General Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury received his counterpart at the Zia International Airport.
In the meeting Bangladesh will raise issues like camps and fences within 150 yards of international boundary, push-in of Indian-born Bangalees, killing of Bangladeshi civilians by the BSF and Indian criminals, handing over of Bangladeshi criminals sheltered in India and anti-Bangladesh camps in India.
