Japan Train Crash Death Toll Rises

Japanese authorities have raided the offices of the rail company which owns the train that crashed Monday near Osaka, as the death toll has risen to at least 86.

Police removed a number of documents from the offices of West Japan Railway Tuesday. They were looking into the possibility that negligence may have led to the train's derailment and crash into an apartment building while carrying more than 500 passengers.

Meanwhile, emergency workers continue to extricate bodies from the crushed rail cars. Three survivors were pulled free on Tuesday. The 23-year-old driver has not yet been accounted for and has not responded to rescue workers' calls. Railway officials said the driver had less than a year's experience and had been reprimanded for at least one other driving error.
