In this week, on our call-in show , on the occasion of 106th Anniversary of Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam , the national poet of Bangladesh, guest experts answered various questions on Nazrul . The focus was on Nazrul’s progressive, democratic anti-communal philosophy. Nazrul has been widely seen as a harbinger of peace amongst the Hindus and the Muslims . He believed in the freedom of religion and on inter-faith interactions. Our guests were Professor Mustafa Nurul Islam , a prominent writer and scholar from Dhaka, a former Professor of Jahangir Nagar University and Professor Jyotirmoy Ghosh , a scholar and a former Rabindra-Professor of Calcutta University.
