Kashmir Blasts Wound At Least 30

Two separate explosions targeting paramilitary forces in Indian administered Kashmir have wounded at least 30 people, most of them civilians. In the first attack, a remote-controlled car bomb was detonated in Lazbal village, 60 kilometers south of the area's summer capital, Srinigar, as a paramilitary truck passed by. The blast left seven security officers and at least 11 civilians injured A local militant group, the Hizbul Mujahedin, later claimed responsibility for the blast. Later, suspected rebels threw a grenade at a security force vehicle in a busy shopping district of Srinigar. They missed their target but wounded at least 12 shoppers. No group has claimed responsibility for that attack.
