Jaswant Singh, India’s former Foreign, Defense and Finance Minister gave a lecture at Brookings Institution in Washington on : US Strategic Partnership: Perception, Potential & Problem. His audience included the academics, South Asia experts, political commentators and journalists. He stressed that even in the new relationship the shadow of the cold war period mindset has not been totally wiped out. He said that India is becoming a world and these two countries should be natural allies. He said that economic and military cooperation are needed for a trategic partnership.
