West Bengal Congress has appealed to the State Election Commission to keep vigilance on political violence as well as on police force in order to assure a free and fair election in Kolkata and Bidhan Nagar. A delegation of the Congress party met the Chief Election Officer of the State and submitted a memorandum to him. The delegate included central minister Priyo Ranjan Das Munshi , Pradeep Bhattacharya and Manash Bhuiyan.
