The Chief Election Commissioner of Bangladesh, Justice M A Aziz refused to comment on the the writ petition on the validity of his appointment as the Chief Election Commissioner while still being a justice in the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court. Talking to reporters in Dhaka on Sunday he said that being a justice himself he thinks commenting on the matter would not be lagally appropriate. The CEC said that a fresh and updated voter list will be prepared before the next general election in Bangladesh. He said that the election commission will soon take a decision on this matter and will act accordingly. Justice Aziz also said that in view of the general election , he expects to hold talks with the leaders of different political parties.
