State Minister for Energy AKM Mosharraf Hossain resigned on Saturday over the Lexus car controversy.
His resignation letter was forwarded to the president on acceptance by the prime minister. Mosharraf had received the car from Canadian company Niko Resources. Niko was blamed for the Tengratila Gas Field Explosion early January.
Mosharraf, who was convicted of corruption in the previous BNP regime, resigned on health grounds. Amir Khasru has more on the story.
