Authorities say more than 80 people were injured in the blast on Saturday in Musayyib. Nearby homes caught fire. Earlier today, a roadside blast killed three British troops in the southeastern city of Amarah.
In Baghdad, a suicide car bomber killed three police officers, while at least four officers were killed in Mosul in a suicide blast at a police station. The U.S. military also said 11 U.S. soldiers have been charged with assaulting detainees. It did not elaborate, but said none of the detainees needed medical attention. Friday, a wave of suicide attacks targeting mainly U.S.-led coalition and Iraqi forces killed at least 32 people and wounded more than 100.
