President Bush has expressed solidarity with Britain following the recent wave of terrorist attacks on London's mass transit system.
He told an audience in Atlanta, Georgia, on Friday that the United States stands with Britain during what he called "these trying times."
He said Britain, like the United States, will not be intimidated by "thugs and assassins," and that the war against terrorism involves an enemy who believes in an ideology of hate.
He said today's anti-terror efforts are laying a foundation of peace for future generations. He urged bringing would-be terrorists to justice before they can do harm.
