Lutfozzaman Babar, the state minister for home affairs in Bangladesh during his trip to Washington said that he has no knowledge of any Islamic extremist outfits working inside Bangladesh. He denied having any knowledge of the so called Bangla Bhai and said that anyone is welcome to track him down. Mr Babar, during his tour, met with several high officials from the state department as well as from the department of Homeland Security. He also met congressmen. In this exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service, Mr Babar focussed on the areas of Bangladesh -US cooperation in war against international terrorism as well as in curbing down criminal activities in Bangladesh. He expected logistic and training supports from the US government. He also said that Bangladesh government is trying to track down terrorists from Islamic outfits ,if there are any. He, however, denied that there were any international terrorists in Bangladesh. He said that the government is doing what it can to investigate and punish the perpetrators of crime during attacks on the opposition leader and the killers of SAMS Kibria . He also expressed his awaremess about the concerns expressed by the Human Rights organization about the so called " cross fires" by RAB.
