Prime Minister Khaleda Zia yesterday phoned Indian Premier Manmohan Singh to convey her concern over the miseries caused by the recent floods in Maharastra and sympathy for the victims of the natural calamity. Briefing newsmen, prime minister's press secretary informed that Manmohan thanked Khaleda for the gesture and also for her earlier message of sympathy and condolence. He expressed his eagerness to meet Khaleda during the forthcoming Saarc summit to be held in Dhaka in November. Manmohan stressed the need for strengthening the regional forum and hoped that the Saarc would be much stronger under the leadership of Khaleda Zia.
