Investigators in Toronto, Canada say they will retrieve the black boxes on Wednesday from the Air France passenger plane that skidded off the runway while landing in a heavy rainstorm.
All 309 passengers and crew aboard the plane survived Tuesday's dramatic crash. Airport officials say the Airbus A340 from Paris overshot the runway while landing in a heavy rainstorm.
The plane slid into a nearby ravine, bursting into flames. Rescue workers scrambled to free passengers, as smoke billowed over one of Toronto's busiest highways.
Canada's Transport Minister Jean Lapierre says it was a "miracle" that no one had died.
There were about 20 minor injuries.
