U.S. authorities have charged a man with conspiracy to give support to the Kashmiri terrorist group, Laskhar-e-Taiba.
Prosecutors in New York said Thursday that Mahmud Faruq Brent was arrested after meeting another terrorist suspect, Tarik Shah, in the eastern state of Maryland.
They say Mr. Shah agreed to allow FBI officials to record the meeting with Mr. Brent, in which he claimed to have attended terrorist training camps in Pakistan.
Officials said Mr. Brent also promised to offer any assistance he could in Pakistan, saying he hoped Allah would bless him for his efforts.
Mr. Shah was arrested in May on charges of offering support to the al-Qaida network.
