British Airways Flight Delayed in Dhaka for Security Concerns

A London-bound British Airways flight prior to its take-off from The Zia International Airport (ZIA) on Monday morning was delayed for security reasons. The flight, BA-144, which was scheduled for departure at 8-30 am, finally took off at 10-55 am after airport security thoroughly searched the airplane before clearing it. Security personnel searched passengers, their luggage and the entire aircraft, and detained three Bangladesh-born British citizens and three Moroccan citizens for interrogation. Chief Security Officer of the airport Azad Zahirul Islam said that the flight was delayed on information that suspected terrorists boarded the aircraft. But nothing suspicious was found in preliminary interrogation. Zahurul Alam has more on the story.
