Shoma Ayer founded Geographical Society in Andhra Pradesh in 1990 for school and college students. The objective has been to create a geographical awareness amongst the students. In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service Shoma Ayer describes the activities of the society which include, amongst other things field trips and workshops. She says that the students are also being increasingly introduced to the remote sensor and other modern technology.
