Matiur Rahman Nizami , the Chief of the Islamic fundamentalist party Jamat-e-Islami , one of the partners in the present coalition government in Bangladesh has claimed that International conspiracy is behind the blasts in Bangladesh. He specifically blamed India and named MOSSAD, the Israeli intelligence agency for the growth of Islamic terrorist outfits in the border region in Bangladesh. Quoting Veena Sikri, the Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh who is said to have blamed Islamists for the attacks, Mr Nizami cited this statement in what he claimed to be the Indian involvement. He thinks the conspirators want Bangladesh to be proven as an extremist country paving the way for foreign interference. He also alleged that no effort is being made against Jamatul Mujahidin which apparently has claimed responsibility for the attack, instead Jamat-e-Islami is being blamed.
