Barrister Rokonuddin Mahmud, Vice President of Bangladesh Bar Council recently convened a two-day convention-2005 on the "Unity against terrorism".
In an interview with Voice of America Barrister Mahmud expressed his concerns about terrorisms and repressions against liberal political parties, thinkers and intellectuals in Bangladesh. Barrister Rokonuddin Mahmud also alleged that the government did not issue visa to some foreign dignitaries who were invited to the convention.
