Hashem Abdul Halim , the speaker of the State Assembly ( Bidhan Sabha) of the Indian state of West Bengal has been elected a Chairman of Parliamentary Association of Commonwealth countries. The election took place in Fiji. Mr Halim will be honored both at the airport and at the Assembly for his election.
