Bangladesh and India ended two days of talks on water-related issues in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Bangladeshi Water Resources Minister Hafizuddin Ahmed and his visiting Indian counterpart, Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi, lead their respective sides in the talks.
India's water resources minister says his country will not implement a plan to link major rivers that has caused concern in neighboring Bangladesh.
India had proposed linking several rivers to divert water from its flood-prone northeast to dry western and southern parts of the country.
But critics said the project would cause rivers in Bangladesh to dry up, affecting the country's ecology and farming.
