Bangladesh government is going to enact a Terrorist Financing Prevention Law. According to this proposed law , if some one gives money to a terrorist the property of the concerned person would be confiscated and the person might even face death sentence. The Money Laundering department of Bangladesh Bank has prepared a draft of this law and has forwarded it to the ministry of finance. Sources say that if this internationally recognized law is enacted, the money inflow into the terrorist activities will be forced to stop. In response to the UN’s call to look into the transcations of Islamic Jihad Group, Bangladesh Bank , the central bank of the country has instructed financial institutions and leasing companies to look into their transactions so that the money is not inflowing into the hands of the terrorists.
