Bangladesh's Prime Minister Khaleda Zia has condemned militants behind recent bombings as enemies of Islam and democracy. In a televised address late Monday, Ms. Zia said officials had identified the bombers, though she did not name them. Ms. Zia also apologized for what she termed the "administrative and intelligence failure" that allowed the attacks to take place. Last week, two people were killed in a wave of blasts at several courtrooms in southern Bangladesh. Nearly two months earlier, some 400 bombs exploded across the nation. Officials have arrested hundreds of suspects following the attacks, which are blamed on the banned Islamic group Jamaat-ul-Mujahedin.
