The government of the Indian state of West Bengal has recently promulgated an ordinance for preserving marsh lands and ponds in the state. Minister for Environment in West Bengal Manab Mukhopaddhaya has informed that this ordinance has been passed to acquire a huge amount of land in Bidhanagar in Kolkata.
