14-Party Alliance Demands: Bangladesh Government should Get Rid of Jamat from their Ruling Alliance


14-party opposition alliance in Bangladesh has rejected the government offer to sit for a dialogue on resolving the issue of the rising Islamic militancy in Bangladesh .

The Awami League led alliance says that the ruling alliance have got the roots of terrorism in them. They should therefore , exclude Jamat-e-Islami and other Islamic fundamentalists from the party. Some of the arrested Jamatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) members have allegedly claims their links with Jamat and its other branch organization. The opposition alliance has again said that the government has, until very recently, repeatedly ignored the international and national warnings that the Islamic terrorists were working inside Bangladesh.

BNP’s general secretary has, however, reiterated his party’s invitation to the opposition saying that they might send a formal invitation.
