Matiur Rahman Nizami, the chief of the Islamic fundamentalist Party Jamat-e-Islami and a minister of the BNP led allied government has blasted some BNP ministers and members of parliament for speaking against the Jamate Islami. Although he said that those who raised questions about the alleged relationship between the Jama’at and the JMB did so as their personal opinions, nevertheless it is harming the relationship between the BNP and the Jama’at. Talking to the members of OCAB ( Overseas Correspondent’s Association of Bangladesh) , in Jama’at office on Sunday Nizami was critical of other democratic parties that they were having fantasies of grabbing power .
