The economy of Bangladesh has continued growing amidst the challenges both international and domestic. The rate of the economic growth has continued in spite of all these challenges. The remittances sent by the non-resident Bangladeshis have contributed towards . The growth of the remittance was 14.3 per cent. Finance Minister M Saifur Rahman has said that in spite of all odds Bangladesh economy has grown reasonably well. He said that the growth has exceeded 6 per cent. However Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya thinks differently. He says that the government has not been able to go for a good governance in economy during 2005. He adds that economic orders have not been maintained in different grassroot level sectors .
