Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD) , a non government organization in Bangladesh thinks that the economic condition in six month preceding the Parliament election is very important. CPD has published an analytical report on government’s performance over the last six months. Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya , the Executive Director of CPD , said in a Press Conference today a 7% rise in inflation and the crisis in the supply of foreign currency has aggravated the problem. Dr Bhattacharya suggests that the government needs to cut down on its expenditure but apprehends that expenditures might increase in areas where there are few accountability.
