CPM , the ruling party in West Bengal has begun its election campaign for the upcoming state assembly election. A mammoth public meeting was held in the Maidan Brigade Parade Ground on Sunday.
The meeting was addressed by top leaders of the party including the present Chief Minister of West Bengal Buddhadev Bhattacharya and the former Chief Minister , octogenarian leader Jyoti Basu. They called for voting the CPM to power for the seventh consecutive time. The leaders highlighted the success which West Bengal has achieved over the last nearly three decades. The former CM paid tributes to the present CM saying that he is doing a better job than his predecessor.
