Suicide Bombers Kill 24 in Afghanistan

A suicide bomber in Afghanistan has killed at least 20 people and wounded more than 20 in the border town of Spin Boldak. The attacker drove a motorcycle into a crowd watching a wrestling match.

Earlier, another bomber blew himself up next to an army vehicle in the southern city of Kandahar -- killing three Afghan soldiers and one civilian. Four Afghan soldiers and ten civilians were wounded. On Sunday, a similar attack in Kandahar killed a Canadian diplomat and two Afghan civilians. Afghan President Hamid Karzai has expressed concern over an increase in the use of suicide bombers. He said Afghanistan and the international community are in a joint struggle against terrorism. He said if Western countries do not fight terrorism in Afghanistan, they will have to deal with it in their own capitals.
