Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has arrived in New York to begin a six-day visit to the United States that includes a meeting with President Bush.
The trip comes days after a purported U.S. airstrike on a Pakistani village killed at least 18 people, including civilians.
Pakistani officials say at least four foreign terrorists died in the attack on January 13th, but the intended target, al-Qaida's number two leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, was not in the area. The officials say there are signs the bodies of the foreign militants were removed from the attack site.
On Tuesday, Mr. Aziz said Pakistan cannot accept such military strikes on its territory, and said he will raise the issue with U.S. officials. He is scheduled to meet President Bush in Washington January 24th.
A U.S. State Department spokesman, Sean McCormack said relations with Islamabad remain good, despite protests in Pakistan over the missile strike.
