M Saifur Rahman , the finance minister of Bangladesh has once again reiterated that Bangladesh government has no plans to raise the price of fuel. After a meeting with the Energy Advisor Mahmudur Rahman and other high officials , Saifur Rahman assured about the fuel prize . After one of his previous statements, in which he allegedly said that the fuel price will be raised , fuel shortage and illegal hoarding has been creating crisis in Bangladesh
The meeting also asked nationalized commercial banks (NCBs) to open letters of credit (LC) for petroleum import without any hesitation. The meeting presided over by Finance and Planning Minister M Saifur Rahman assured the NCBs that Bangladesh Bank (BB) and the Finance Division will solve their liquidity problems and help them overcome the dollar crisis.
