Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah is in Islamabad for talks that are expected to include Iran's nuclear ambitions.
During his two-day visit, the Saudi monarch is scheduled to meet with Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.
Pakistan's Foreign Ministry says the meetings will focus on economic cooperation between the two countries.
A spokeswoman says the agenda also includes the international standoff over Iran's nuclear program.
Saudi Arabia's foreign minister, Prince Saud al-Faisal has said Iran's nuclear ambitions threaten disaster in the region. But Pakistan has opposed intervention by the U.N. Security Council.
