People in West Bengal observed 21st February and International Mother Language Day through discussions, musical soiree, plays and other cultural events throughout the city.
International Mother Language Day was observed today for the first time in India’s Parliament. Speaker of Lok Sava Somnath Chatterjee in his speech given in Bengali spoke about the significance of International Mother Language Day and asked the Lok Sava members to give their speeches in their respective mother tongue.
