Authorities in southern Bangladesh say at least four people were killed and more than 100 injured when a tropical storm swept through several villages.
The storm hit late Saturday near the Sundarbans mangrove forests. A police officer says winds over 135 kilometers an hour completely flattened about 500 houses and toppled trees and electric poles.
Dozens of people die each year in tropical storms that hit coastal Bangladesh in the spring and summer.
