A tribal student group, Democratic Youth Forum aligned with United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF), which is opposed to the Chittagong Hill Tracts Treaty (CHT) has demanded that Bangladesh army stop their Operation Uttoron.
They protested waving black flags in Khagrachhari pressing on their demands which included removing all discriminations between the plain land people and the tribal people and asked for the withdrawl of the settlements of the ethnic Bengalis in the hill area. . They held meetings and rallies in support of their demands.
