To provide efficient medical assistance to patients, the BM Birla Heart Research Centre is set to launch an air ambulance facility.
Such an arrangement is being made for the first time in east India. The facility would be made available to its patients and those in Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI).
The air ambulance will start transferring patients to the twin centers on 24 April.
The aircraft is equipped with ventilators, cardiac monitors, defibrillators, FFA approved stretchers, portable suction units and other medical equipment.
