China has given a positive response to building up a road link between Bangladesh, Burma and China . Bangladesh had given this proposal.
After returning from a secretary level meeting in Beijing the foreign secretary of Bangladesh Hemayetuddin spoke on this. Burma’s support is still awaited. Secretary Hemayetuddin is expected to visit Burma to discuss the matter. He also said that Bangladesh is seeking a tariff free trade facility with China .
