Authorities in northwestern Pakistan say 10 people died when a cable car they were riding crashed into a 200 meter deep ravine.
The authorities say the accident happened near the town of Battagram, northeast of Peshawar in the North West Frontier Province. An investigation is under way, but local police say the cable holding the car broke, sending the passengers to their deaths.
Battagram was one of the towns that was devastated by last year's massive earthquake that killed more than 73 thousand people.
