SAARC Home Ministers concluded their conference in Dhaka on Thursday with a resolve to combat the spread of terrorism.
The Ministers agreed to keep peace in South Asia and maintain security and stability through intensive interaction and cooperation. The one-day meet of the ministers of interior affairs of the SAARC countries adopted a set of nine decisions to fight out militancy and drugs and narcotics trafficking in the region by reactivating concerned institutions and sharing information and experiences among the member states.
State Minister for Home Affairs Luthfozzaman Babar told reporters at a post-conference press briefing that they have reached an understanding that is very important to combat the menaces through joint efforts.
