Hasan Imam , a self exiled film director an a former official of Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee in an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service describes his ordeal in Bangladesh . He alleges to have received several death threats soon after the present government came into power in 2001.
Mr Imam adds that the government appointed one member committee depended on news paper reports and eventually suggested that he was responsible for the bomb blasts during the previous government regime . Hasan Imam said that he had to flee Bangladesh after being threatened. He was one of the top activists who wanted that the war crminals in Bangladesh should face trial and was strictly opposed to Islamic fundamentalism and militancy.
