Dr. Rashiduzzaman Analyzes President Bush’s Immigration Reform Policy


President Bush is taking steps to increase security on the southern border of the United States, as he seeks support in Congress for comprehensive immigration reform. Mr. Bush wants to spend an additional two billion dollars on border security and deploy as many as six-thousand National Guard troops to back up the civilian Border Patrol. The president went before the American people on Monday evening to urge a multi-faceted approach to stop the flood of illegal aliens into the United States. Dr. Rashiduzzaman is a professor of Political Science at Rowan University in New Jersey. He spoke to Sarkar Kabiruddin and Roquia Haider about President’s new steps.
