West Bengal is considering repealing the West Bengal (Prevention of) Defacement of Public Properties Act, 1976.
Graffiti, which is illegal in the state because of this law, may make a comeback if the law is repealed. Chief Minister of West Bengal Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee is expected to place his proposal at the first Cabinet meeting of the 7th Left Front government on Wednesday.
