Pakistani police say they have seized a large cache of weapons and ammunition during a raid on a house near the southwestern city of Quetta. Senior police officials say at least one man was arrested during the operation.
Authorities allege the rocket propelled grenades, bomb-making materials and ammunition were smuggled from neighboring Afghanistan. Officials accuse smugglers of supplying weapons to tribal militants in Pakistan's Baluchistan province.
The militants accuse the government of denying the ethnic Baluch community political and economic rights. Militants have been battling government forces to demand more royalties for the natural resources shared by the entire country.
