Drawing up a weeklong program of protest, West Bengal's ruling Left Front said that a partial reduction was unacceptable and there should be a complete rollback of the hike in prices of petrol and diesel.
''A partial rollback is unacceptable. We will carry out an extensive campaign to put pressure on the UPA government to rollback the price hike. The people have been hit by the price increase and as we are concerned with the people's interests, we have to launch a movement,'' LF chairman Biman Bose told reporters after a Front meeting.
