Noted economist Amartya Sen today expressed concern at the inadequate resources allocated for primary education and healthcare and called for effective use of the limited funds available.
At a media conference, the Nobel prize winning economist, who is also the Chairman of Pratichi (India) Trust, an NGO founded by him, said that there was need for awareness of the resource requirements both at the Central and State levels.
